As the Sherman's Lagoon comic strip has always really been about humans in fish form, we felt
it was important that the costumes for the show be street clothes with only a casual reference to
the character's animal identity. We wanted to emphasize the "humaness" of the characters, and
didn't want the production to get too encumbered with bulky costume elements.
